Difficult years due to the pandemic lie behind us now. But the beginning of the year 2024 with earth quakes and floodings, the ongoing war in Ukraine and the crisis in Palestine remains a challenge. However, in such times, exchange of ideas, personal relations and international friendship seem to be more important than ever before.
The European Workshop on Neonatology (EWON) has promoted the idea of scientific exchange in a warm and friendly atmosphere in exciting places in Europe and neighbouring countries for more than 30 years.
All of you are welcome again to submit abstracts and present your scientific data which will hopefully foster fruitful scientific discussions across virtually all current topics in neonatology.
Lübeck, the former „Queen of the hanseatic league“ is a unique city with more than 3000 medieval buildings reaching back to the 13th century. The city was the first place in Germany awarded with the title „UNESCO World Heritage“ already in 1986.
Visit us to understand why. Merchants were the drivers of the Hanse network that stretched from Nowgorod in Russia, down to the Mediterranean Sea. The inscription on the Holsten Gate, the most famous building in Lübeck:
Postulating unity/peace in and outside the city walls was never more relevant than today.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you in Lübeck in June 2024 and invite you to enjoy the special light of the North in this time of the year.
With best regards,
